Rosh Hashanah/Yom Teruah:
The High Holy Day of Sounding the Shofar, or the ram's horn. This begins the Fall Festivals and also begins the Jewish Civil New Year. In the sounding of the Shofar we are called to Teshuvah/repentance. Our names, according to Scripture, are written in the Book of Life, and we then enter into Aseret Yemay Teshuvah/the Ten Days of Awe. Many of our sages believe the Messiah will come at this Festival. As Messianic Jews, we believe that Yeshua's return may quite possibly happen at this time. (I Thessalonians 4:13-18)
